$treet$ Of Plenty

$treet$ Of Plenty.

For the love of Vancouver, this MUST be watched.  Starts off terribly, with all the panache of a self-enamored kid who spent WAY too much time in theatersports.  However, it quickly spirals into something that is intense and scary and totally provoking.

Thanks for this, after John and I went to get our millionth slurpee this summer in the 7-11 near our hotel and discovered a tourniquet beside the machine, he has been all ears to my exposes on the harrows, intrigue, tragedy and complexity of the downtown east side.
Have you watched it yet? I’m hoping it’s not another supersize me pretense of a documentary.

Nope its a pretty honest documentary. Its just some doe eyed college kid who tries to yuk it up and ‘expose’ lazy homeless people. But he really ends up making a decent crack at real journalism (if not juvenile and oversimplified….he seems to value his own reaction to his experiences instead of those of the people he’s investigating).

Watch it! I’m anxious to hear what you ladies (+john) think! Its free streaming and its pretty short (under 1 hour?)
