6 (slightly inebriated) people and the ancient Egypt room. I hope his doesn’t suck. I had to book it 6 weeks ago! I also hope it is kinda actually scary.

No way. I read about this place somewhere in Irish media. Related nerd fact: I recently read that the direction the neck of the egyptian bird faces guide the way the subsequent hieroglyphs need to be read. Like a rubric cube language.

No hieroglyphs needed but there were ancient Egyptian LEDs and electronic door keypads none of which made sense to use. Also it was dark and hot and tiny. They have us 3 lanterns for 6 people. We failed. And we were all frustrated. We had decided a riddle that read ‘the color of blood’ and one of the locked boxes had a five letter combo. Turns out it was RED with spaces between the letters. It wasn’t very much fun for 150 dollars.

  3. huh – i’d read about these in Beijing 4 years ago – those ones seemed a lot less techy and therefor more fun. More like an aprartment turned upside down that you need to decode in order to get out of.

150 bones….ouch. It would need to be more like a goonies adventure to merit that. Huh. At least there is alternative entertainment. The closest we’ve got is booze and bowl. I feel I’ve watched my weight in films to pass the time this winter.
